Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g. machining injection molding casting fabrication). Demonstrated ability in material selection and application for various engineering designs. Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles. Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Advanced FEA / CFD simulation experience. Hands-on prototyping testing and assembly experience. Demonstrated knowledge of specific manufacturing processes (e.g. injection molding sheet metal forming additive manufacturing). Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system integration. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize product designs using CAD software.
- Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and specifications.
- Perform design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA) analyses.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for components.
- Support prototyping testing and validation of new designs.
- Collaborate with production quality and supply chain teams to resolve design issues.
- Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Material (BOMs) and technical documentation.
