AI / ML Software Engineer

Pointer Technologies is seeking a talented and passionate Software Engineer specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI / ML) to join our team.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve challenging problems, develop robust software systems, and deploy AI-powered features into production.

The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background, and the ability to design, build, and deploy scalable AI / ML models that align with our  mission.

Responsibilities Develop and optimize machine learning models for real-world and national security and defense applications Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for model training and deployment.

Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to understand requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.

Conduct research to explore new AI / ML techniques and stay updated on the latest industry advancements.

Evaluate model performance, troubleshoot issues, and fine-tune solutions for optimal results.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.

Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or Java, with expertise in ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).

Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and statistical methods.

Experience building and deploying machine learning models into production environments.

Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for AI / ML workflows.

Familiarity with data wrangling, ETL pipelines, and big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).

Nice To Have Experience with specific AI domains, such as natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or reinforcement learning.

Understanding of MLOps principles and tools like MLflow or Kubeflow.

Contributions to open-source AI / ML projects.

Published research or patents in the AI / ML space.

Technical leadership experience.
