Schedule : Two (2) resources : A-side day shift, SundayTuesday and every other Wednesday. One (1) resource : B-side day shift, ThursdaySaturday and every other Wednesday.

Job Summary

The Data Center Technician Technical IT 4 is responsible for supporting Microsoft data center operations by performing hardware staging, deployment, diagnostics, and decommissioning tasks. The role ensures operational reliability, security compliance, and adherence to established procedures while working within a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of data center hardware, including racks, hard drives, and switches, following checklists, guides, and standard protocols.
• Conduct post-execution quality checks, ensuring proper grounding, labeling, staging, and cabling according to safety protocols and Network Design Tasks (NDTs).
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to quickly identify and resolve hardware issues, replacing faulty components as needed.
• Decommission hardware for complex changes or systems with multiple interactions, ensuring adherence to standard procedures.
• Verify security compliance for all decommissioned hardware.
• Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to appropriate Microsoft data center operations management units and Technician Leads.
