Assistant Sous Chef

Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assistant Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-end dining environments , demonstrate strong leadership on the line, and assist in maintaining kitchen efficiency, quality, and consistency. This role supports the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in daily operations, including food preparation, plating, inventory, and maintaining kitchen standards.
Responsibilities :
- Lead by example on the line, ensuring high-quality preparation and presentation of all menu items.
- Supervise and support kitchen staff during service to ensure timely and consistent execution.
- Assist with menu development, specials, and new recipe implementation.
- Help manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Uphold proper food handling, sanitation, and storage procedures.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent guest satisfaction.
- Step into leadership duties when the Sous Chef or Executive Chef is unavailable.
Qualifications :
Minimum 3 years of experience in a high-end or fine-dining kitchen.Proven ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.Knowledge of inventory systems and basic kitchen administration.ServSafe Certification preferred but not required.Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays .Benefits :
