About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : PCU Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : 1 year License : NY license required Certifications : BLS required Must-Have : EPIC experience Description : Must have NY license in hand. Specialty : MSDU RN. Shift : 4x12 Nights. Weekend : Every other weekend. First-time travelers accepted. Locals must reside within a 75-mile radius. Need to be able to take a 1 : 5 to 1 : 7 patient ratio for MedSurg. Charting experience with EPIC is a hard requirement. Must be capable of interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Familiarity with rapid response and code teams is essential. Experience with peripheral line care and management. Competence in managing nasal cannula and oxygen delivery systems. Knowledge of non-invasive airway management required. The unit consists of 26 beds. The Intermediate Care unit provides specialized care for adult acute patients. Patients come from various areas including Emergency Department and ICU. All patients receive continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring. Care includes patients needing airway management and acute BIPAP support. Patients may have arterial and central lines, as well as titrated medicated IV infusions. Care services vary depending on individual patient needs. The team is adaptable, vigilant, and committed to providing compassionate care. A multi-disciplinary approach is utilized in patient care. The facility is a tertiary care hospital. Total staffed beds are 528. Scrub color can be any combination of navy and white.
