COBOL Developer

Role : COBOL Developer

Location : Atlanta GA

Responsibilities

Convert business / technical requirements into well-structured COBOL programs.

Maintain and enhance custom mainframe applications (batch processes screens reports queries).

Review existing code data and business logic for improvements and troubleshooting.

Perform testing : update test files run test cycles validate results and document outcomes.

Analyze and correct data issues using application logic; generate analysis / summary reports.

Support migration efforts from COBOL to web-based applications.

Prepare program-level and user-level documentation.

Improve system performance by optimizing code and processes.

Follow organizational procedures for source code management migration and deployment.

Obtain user sign-off for all production changes.
