Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our Adult Respiratory Service line. In this role, you will provide essential respiratory care to patients according to physician orders and departmental policies. You will work independently in acute and critical care settings, and your expertise will help shape the treatment plans for patients of all age groups including infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities
Supervisory / Management Responsibility
This role reports to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive and does not have direct management responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program or eligible for licensure in South Carolina, or a senior student graduating within three months.
Certifications / Registrations / Licenses Required
Must be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in South Carolina or eligible for licensure. Current BLS certification is required. NBRC credentials must be maintained. Employees hired prior to June 2016 may be Certified Respiratory Therapists, while those hired post-June 2016 must pass the Therapist Multiple Choice Exam and the Clinical Simulation Exam within six months of graduation. Failure to pass the latter will result in termination.
NRP and PALS training is required for those assigned to the Children's Hospital and must be completed before working independently in the NICU and PICU.
Other Required Skills and Experience
You should be an effective team player with strong communication, computer, and organizational skills.
