PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop annual budgets and periodic forecasts for all SG&A departments, working with department leads and senior management to ensure alignment with overall financial goals
- Prepare reports for management on financial performance, along with detailed analysis of variances and potential risks and opportunities
- Develop annual capital budgets for all areas of the organization, working with department leads and senior management to ensure alignment with overall financial goals
- Track and report on actual spend versus budget and identify potential risks and opportunities
- Manage the Appropriation Request process, ensuring all projects submitted have sufficient business justification / cost support, are aligned with the budget, and receive the proper approvals
- Reporting on the status of projects to inform on spend and remaining commitments
- Perform business case / ROI assessments to determine viability of potential projects
- Provide cross-functional support as needed, with special projects, data gathering / financial analysis, etc.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s and / or master’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in finance or accounting5+ years’ experience in the accounting including in a finance for manufacturing setting.Ability to analyze data, identify trends and variances, and develop reports to communicate financial information effectivelyExcellent computer skills, including advanced skills in Excel (formulas, functions, pivot tables, data analysis tools) and PowerPoint; ability to manage large volumes of dataExperience with SAP and One Stream preferredCapacity to understand the broader business context and develop financial analysis to support overall business goalsStrong collaboration skills to work effectively with all areas of the organizationPossess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to articulate recommendations in a concise and understandable manner to stakeholdersDesire to continuously improve processes and efficiencies; a bias for actionConscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work productAbility to multi-task and manage time efficientlyExceptional work ethicPHYSICAL EFFORT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routine uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and copy, fax and scanning machines. Employee must be able to perform job functions with appropriate intermittent relief where applicable under these conditions.
