How youll contribute
An Inpatient Therapistwho excels in this role :
Conducts individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients regarding psychological emotional or substance abuse problemsDisplays active involvement in treatment planning processProvides family session counseling to all patients to ensure appropriate communication and involvement of family members and support groupsActively communicates with clients families and outside referral sourcesDemonstrates proactive communication with those involved with the patients treatmentWorks well with the interdisciplinary team including physicians utilization review and nursing staff membersDemonstrates active communication with team membersEffectively communicates to UR on treatment and LOS issuesCompletes appropriate paperwork for clients in a timely accurate and complete mannerDemonstrates appropriate crisis intervention and de-escalation skillsActs as a member of team with crisis situation occurs assisting others to ensure patient safetyCompletes accurate assessments of patients utilizing clinical skillsAssists care coordination department as requestedCompletes all documentation thoroughly timely and in accordance with hospital standardsDisplays a thorough knowledge of confidentialityCompletes releases appropriatelyDemonstrates knowledge of HIPAA regulations and abides by those standardsDemonstrates a working knowledge of all clinical regulations including TJC Medicaid and state and federal lawsDisplays active involvement in the discharge transition and after-care planning treatment processesOther duties as assignedWhat were looking for
Applicants should have aMasters degree in social work or counseling . Additional requirements include :
Current unencumbered clinical license (LMSW LCSW LPC LPC-A)Previous experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patientsCPR Certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 daysConnect with a Recruiter
