We are looking for a dedicated Billing Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Newport News, Virginia. This position focuses on accounts receivable functions, including managing third-party billing and resolving customer disputes. Responsibilities :

  • Process and manage third-party billing with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review and analyze complex account details to identify discrepancies or errors.
  • Collaborate with customers to address and resolve billing disputes or issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable transactions and updates.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational guidelines and financial standards.
  • Assist with periodic audits and reconciliation of financial data.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding billing operations.
  • Monitor and report on outstanding accounts to ensure timely payments.
  • Provide support for other accounting tasks as needed.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related accounting role.
  • Proficiency in billing processes and accounts receivable management.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex account reviews.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to address billing errors and disputes.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
