As a part of the OptumCare network, Riverside Medical Group is seeking a Senior Certified Medical Assistant to join our growing team in New Jersey. Primary Responsibilities :

• Initiates Clinical office operations and assists physicians with a wide range of healthcare services and procedures. Provides daily supervision of the support staff for the clinical area to ensure the smooth operation of the office
• Oversees the daily clinical flow, schedules and functions, ensuring all site medical assistants provide quality medical treatment. When needed, train other medical assistants to improve performance and skill
• Escort patients, obtain health history, check vital signs and perform EKG's
• Administer injections and collect specimens
• Document patient care using electronic medical record software
• Schedule appointments, complete prior authorizations, process medication refills, handle referrals, answer calls and complete paperwork as needed
