The Position :
The Controller leads the financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and accounting infrastructure that supports the mission and operations of CrossPurpose. This role ensures that the financial systems, internal controls, internal and external reporting, and finance organization are optimally designed and functioning to timely and accurately report financial and operational performance. In addition, the Controller leads the financial planning and forecasting process to support the overall strategic success of the company. In this critical role, the Controller will report to the Chief Financial Officer and work collaboratively with senior and executive leadership in the company.

Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the preparation and accuracy of financial statements. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Responsible for the preparation of management and board reporting, providing insight into the company's financial and organizational performance. Analyze financial data, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making
- Responsible for the design and implementation of internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Ensure organizational adherence to all financial laws, regulations, and internal policies. Identify and mitigate financial risks
- Responsible for the financial budgeting and forecasting process, including developing and managing reporting and analysis, and periodic forecast updates
- Responsible for cash flow management, including timely reporting and development, implementation, and monitoring of adequate liquidity for company operations
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, revenue accounting, payroll and benefit accounting, grant accounting, and compliance. Lead relationship with external auditors and manage annual audit, resulting in timely and clean audit results
- Oversee the Compliance Department to ensure adherence to government grant requirements, including accurate and timely billing, financial reporting, and audit readiness
- Lead, develop, and manage the Compliance and Finance teams to maintain high standards of performance, collaboration, and accountability in all grant-related financial processes
Qualifications :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting. CPA PreferredMinimum 8 years of financial reporting and analysis experience with at least 5 years in a leadership or management rolePreferred 5 years of experience in public accountingExtensive understanding of accounting and financial reporting, internal controls, and processesStrong analytical and communication skillsExtensive knowledge of budgeting and forecastingExperience in nonprofit environments, including grant compliance and data reporting needs, preferredSolid technology skills, including proficiency in relevant accounting and planning, and forecasting softwareDemonstrates deep commitment to the CrossPurpose Mission and Core ValuesSalary & Benefits :
