Lulu & Georgia is looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and hard-working Sourcing Manager to join our growing team! You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where multitasking and problem-solving are key. This position requires extensive knowledge in the manufacturing and sourcing of home decor, decorative accessories, and tabletop, excellent organization skills, and dedication to due dates. You will implement new growth strategies to cultivate, build and grow relationships with new international manufacturers and suppliers. In this role, you’ll report to our VP of Product Development and work closely with our CEO, Buyers, Planners, sourcing agencies, and import partners. This is a great role for someone who has a passion for product sourcing, product development, negotiations, and building new and lasting relationships with international manufacturers to foster mutual growth.
Responsibilities :
- Support and lead procurement efforts for assigned profit-enhancement initiatives across imported tabletop, décor, and walls categories
- Identify and execute opportunities for growth in existing factories, focusing on enhancing capabilities, operational efficiency, and development scalability
- Build and maintain collaborative business relationships with key domestic and international suppliers, agents, and cross-functional partners
- Prepare compelling business cases, conduct cost / benefit and benefit realization analyses to support product and sourcing decisions
- Develop and lead supplier negotiation strategies to secure optimal terms aligned with financial and brand goals
- Research and present supplier management strategies to the VP of Product Development with a focus on long-term scalability and operational alignment
- Oversee the implementation and management of key indirect supplier partnerships, ensuring consistent performance and value delivery
- Audit supplier contracts and pricing structures, proactively addressing unfavorable variances and inefficiencies
- Lead process improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives that streamline product development, sourcing, and delivery
- Monitor, measure, and evaluate supplier performance; resolve performance issues with a focus on partnership development and compliance
- Collaborate with suppliers to understand category-specific cost / value drivers and inform sourcing strategies
- Maintain a strong awareness of global supply markets, including commodity trends, material cost drivers, and geopolitical impacts
- Continuously evaluate and optimize the supplier portfolio, introducing new vendors to support strategic growth, reduce risk, and diversify manufacturing capabilities
- Partner with the VP of Product Development and Buyers to align product development with business strategy and aesthetic objectives
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, aesthetically correct samples that meet both creative vision and cost parameters within required timelines
- Allocate designs to best-suited factories to support category and regional growth strategies, while improving development timelines
- Oversee the product development lifecycle, ensuring all vendors adhere to required and elected testing and compliance protocols
- Drive faster and more efficient development by strategically sourcing, allocating resources, and reducing lead times across the board
Requirements :
5+ years of experience in decor, tabletop, walls, hardlines sourcing, and product developmentHighly adaptable and solutions-oriented with a collaborative mindsetWork with diverse project scopes and a multitude of development phases with tight deadlinesExcellent communication skills (verbal, written, and digital) with a sharp attention to detailProven ability to negotiate effectively and build long-term vendor relationshipsOrganized and efficient with strong time-management and multitasking capabilitiesMotivated self-starter comfortable in a fast-paced, startup-like environmentA team player with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skillsCritical thinker with analytical skills and a passion for solving complex sourcing challenges creativelyAdvanced knowledge of materials such as ceramic, porcelain, resin, stoneware, glassware, flatware, metals, wood, and other natural materialsDeep understanding of product testing, compliance, and packaging standardsStrong network and relationships with major factories, agents, and manufacturers globallyHands-on experience with logistics, supply chain operations, and international coordinationAbility to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholdersA proactive, detail-driven, deadline-oriented mindset with a high sense of urgency
