Your impact
Develop wastewater treatment plant designs, including conceptual planning, preliminary designs, and detailed engineering designs. Develop wastewater treatment plant master plans Conduct detailed process mechanical design for treatment facilities, including piping, pumps, and mechanical equipment, with attention to materials, sizing, and installation. Coordinate and collaborate with multiple disciplines to produce detailed designs, such as civil, electrical, I&C, and structural engineers. Perform steady state and dynamic wastewater process modeling to simulate treatment performance and size treatment facilities using proprietary simulators such as Pro 2D2 and commercial simulators such as Bio Win and Sumo. Perform hydraulic modelling to evaluate plant hydraulics, pipe sizes and pump selections using AFT Fathom and Win Hydro. Fulfill services during construction duties, such as addressing RFIs and reviewing submittals. Evaluate and design wastewater treatment plant upgrades using emerging wastewater technologies such as Aerobic Granular Sludge (AGS) and Mobile Organic Biofilm (MOB). Mentor entry-level staff in wastewater process and design.
Telecommuting / Hybrid Schedule is allowed.
Travel : 25% domestic travel to visit project sites.

REQUIREMENTS : This position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field and 2 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in Wastewater Process Engineering. Or Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering and 4 years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in Wastewater Process Engineering.
SPECIFIC SKILLS : Expertise / knowledge of :
Wastewater process modeling simulation. Biological, physical, and chemical principles of wastewater treatment. Hydraulic modeling. Reclaimed water reuse options. Pump station design and modeling. Collection system design and evaluation including inflow and infiltration studies. Common and emerging wastewater collection system rehabilitation technologies. Common and emerging wastewater treatment technologies. Aeration technologies used in wastewater treatment. Inspection of construction activities.

The base salary range for this position is $109,533.00 to $121,500.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
