We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise database systems. The Senior DBA will collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to deliver integrated database solutions, optimize performance, ensure data security, and implement robust backup / recovery strategies. This role requires strong technical leadership, advanced database expertise, and the ability to anticipate and resolve complex system challenges.

WORKSITE :

Hybrid – Applicants must reside within a 30+ mile radius of Gold River, California. On-site presence is required 2 days per week, with additional on-site time as needed for meetings and collaboration.

WORK SCHEDULE :

Standard business hours with flexibility for weekend and evening work as required.

PAY RATE :

50.00 - $55.00 per hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO :

Monitor database activity and file usage, ensuring necessary resources are available.

Recommend and implement tuning opportunities to improve system response and run times.

Define logical attributes and data inter-relationships; design complex data structures for production implementation, storage, and accessibility.

Optimize database accessibility with load balancing architectures and processes to reduce downtime.

Implement and support database security regulations, policies, and guidelines.

Serve as technical project leader for a portfolio of databases, including installations and DBMS upgrades.

Develop and manage backup / recovery strategies.

Integrate databases with commercial off-the-shelf software and resolve compatibility conflicts.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING :

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

6+ years of experience in database design and maintenance.

Experience with computer hardware and software installation / upgrading procedures.

Expertise in database / system maintenance procedures and creation techniques.

Strong knowledge of DBMS features and performance tuning.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Programming skills for database management and general software.

Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Ability to anticipate and resolve problems with decisive action.

Willingness to travel as needed.
