Macon is situated south of metropolitan Atlanta and within driving distance to the mountains and barrier islands of Georgia. The hospital physician group is an established multispecialty group of 200 + clinicians providing professional medical services to the hospital entities in Macon, Milledgeville, and Fort Valley, as well as, the patients in the Central Georgia area. The hospital is a 637-bed level one trauma center which has seen phenomenal growth and expansion fostered by a cohesive Physician and Administrative leadership team striving toward a common goal of excellent patient care and outcomes through demonstration of our values of Integrity, Respect, Ownership and Caring.

The healthcare system proudly boasts a Heart and Vascular Center which houses cardiac catheterization labs, dedicated state of the art operating rooms, an EP lab, CVICU, and cardiac rehabilitation center; all staffed by a dedicated team of the most qualified and highly skilled Cardiac Anesthesiologist, Perfusionist, Cardio Thoracic Surgeons, Physician Assistants, nurses and support personal in cardiac surgery. Our Cardiothoracic Surgeons perform a broad range of services including ECMO, thoracic aortic surgery, minimally invasive aortic valve replacement and CABG. The system is a certified destination LVAD center and has an active TAVR program that was started in 2017. The thoracic surgery program involves all aspects of thoracic surgery except for transplant.
