Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- CMM Programming : Leverage existing PC-DMIS Programming Experience to design Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) programs for various feature types, stages of a parts throughout the process flow (roughed, semi-finish, finished) to ensure robust inspection routines of machined components.
- Mentorship & Training Support : Coach junior CMM programmers and inspectors in CMM operation, inspection techniques, quality standards, fostering skill development and continuous improvement.
- Quality Assurance : Ensure accurate representation of part features in alignment with GD&T standards.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate documentation of inspection programs, including measurement of data location, inspection reports, and non-conformance records.
- Collaboration : Communicate daily with Quality and Manufacturing engineers and production teams to identify next steps, address quality issues, opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
- Continuous Improvement : Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance quality processes and optimize inspection procedures.
- Training Support : Assist in training initiatives for inspectors on CMM operation, inspection techniques, and quality standards.
- Compliance : Ensure compliance with safety procedures, quality regulations, and company policies in all quality-related activities.
- Problem-Solving : Utilize root cause analysis tools to investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
Required Qualifications :
High School diploma or equivalent required.Junior requirement : 3+ years of experience in quality assurance, CMM programming.Senior requirement : 6+ years of experience in quality assurance, CMM programming.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR / EAR regulations.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.Familiarity with manual layout inspection techniques and part features made in various machining processes such as turning and milling.Experience in aerospace and with nickel, titanium and aluminum is advantageous.Proficiency in English language, both verbal and written.Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret blueprints and sketches accurately.Proficiency in English language, both verbal and written.Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Adaptable to changing business needs and skilled in problem-solving.Compensation & Benefits :
