We are seeking a Medical Payment Poster ! In this role, you will be responsible for accurately posting payments, managing patient and insurance account inquiries, and ensuring financial transactions are processed efficiently and in compliance with medical billing standards. If you have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience in a medical office or billing environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities :
Accurately post payments from insurance companies and patients to the correct accountsReconcile explanation of benefits (EOBs) and resolve payment discrepanciesRespond to patient and insurance inquiries related to payments, account balances, and billing questionsCollaborate with billing and collections teams to ensure timely and accurate account managementMaintain detailed and organized payment records in accordance with HIPAA guidelinesInvestigate and resolve denied or misapplied paymentsPerform general administrative and data entry duties related to payment processingDeliver outstanding customer service while maintaining professionalism and confidentialityRequirements :
High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree or certification in medical billing is a plus)1+ years of experience in medical billing, payment posting, or healthcare customer serviceFamiliarity with EOBs, insurance claim processing, and medical terminologyStrong attention to detail and accuracy with payment entriesProficient in typing, data entry, and using healthcare billing software (e.g., Epic, Kareo, eClinicalWorks, etc.)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentKnowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentialityWant to be considered for this opening immediately?
