Field Engineer

Full-time professional experience working as a Field Engineer with strong electronic / RF background that installs, maintains, and repairs electronic, mechanical, and / or shipboard systems. Provides technical advice and guidance on RF Theory, RF Spectrum management, and / or configuration of shipboard collection systems. Professional experience preparing / revising drawings for systems, parts or equipment from sketches or marked-up prints.

  • Provides technical advice and guidance on RF Theory, RF Spectrum, and wave propagation.
  • Troubleshoots a range of hardware and software problems and interconnectivity issues.
  • Performs a range of technical tasks and provides site support.
  • Provides advanced solutions to problems and guidance to less experienced field engineers.
  • Provides advanced training on different types of equipment and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Prepares and revises drawings for systems, parts or equipment from sketches or marked-up prints.
  • Provides advice and a range of onsite training for customer support personnel.
  • Works with electrical / mechanical engineers for stress / electrical / mechanical calculations.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience., 6+ years of full-time hands-on experience in installation, troubleshooting, repairing, and / or testing of any one major shipboard system / equipment.

Active Secret Clearance required.

The likely salary range for this position is $68,000 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
