Job Title : Java Developer

Location : Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid)

Duration : 7 Months (Possible Extension)

Job Summary :

  • We’re seeking a Java Developer with strong backend and API development skills to support a range of tasks from application development to light incident management and agile coordination. This is a hybrid role based in Pittsburgh, requiring both technical proficiency and the ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
  • You’ll take ownership of stories, help maintain the team’s workflow, and contribute to documentation and work intake processes, all while playing a key role in ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and maintain the team’s Jira board, ensuring stories move through the workflow efficiently.
  • Assist in creating and refining stories in collaboration with team members.
  • Perform API and web service development using Java and Apigee.
  • Conduct light incident management and address service requests as they arise.
  • Maintain and update project documentation to ensure clarity and traceability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support multiple work streams and request types.

    • Skills Required :

  • 5–8+ years of professional development experience
  • Java (backend development)
  • API Development, including experience with Apigee
  • Web Services (REST / SOAP)
  • Oracle Database (querying, stored procedures)

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Postman (API testing)
  • WebLogic
  • Informatica

    • Education

  • Degree is not required – relevant experience is more important
