GTS Ops Support Rep

This is an interview position

Provides technical customs regulations expertise to internal and external customers pertaining to Canadian and international customs regulations and legislation. Acts as a qualified representative for FedEx management in customs consulting to customers and global sales. Provides customer satisfaction through efficient problem resolution. Plans and implements GTS projects as assigned and works as a management assist person. Interacts with local government agencies in order to protest / follow through to resolve any Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) penalties.

Educational Requirements

Post Secondary :

Bachelor's degree / educational equivalent

CCS Designation

Related Experience Requirements

Minimum number of years required for entry to this job

GTS - 3.5 years

Current customs experience required including commodity classification, valuation laws and other governmental agency requirements

Amount of time required to learn or adjust to the job

1 year

Other specific mandatory experience requirements

Incumbents must maintain their CCS designation when in this position. Must achieve annual recurrency points.

Technical Skill Requirements

Solid knowledge of the following :

Thorough knowledge of GTS clearance systems.

Knowledge of FedEx Express operations, systems and procedures

Computer literacy and proficiency :

Microsoft Word - Basic

Microsoft Excel - Basic

Excel Powerpoint - Basic

Outlook - Basic

• Bachelor's degree / educational equivalent
• CCS Designation
• EXCEL - If not Excel certified must successfully complete the professional development stream within one year from start date.
