Sales Assistant – Manufacturing / Order Processing

Help a growing industrial manufacturer keep its sales engine running at full speed. This team needs a detail-obsessed Sales Assistant who loves order accuracy, thrives on getting things right the first time, and takes pride in keeping work moving. You will be the force multiplier that frees sales reps to sell, serving as the gatekeeper for order quality and the connective tissue between sales, production, and shipping. Expect real training on the shop floor, a clear path to take on more responsibility, and a culture that values people who roll up their sleeves and solve problems.

What you will do

  • Enter, validate, and release customer sales orders in QuickBooks with accurate bill-to, ship-to, and product tagging.
  • Coordinate daily with sales reps and the plant to confirm specifications, quantities, and promised dates, then follow through to shipping and invoice accuracy.
  • Manage repeat orders and track them end to end, resolving discrepancies quickly to prevent rework or delays.
  • Maintain clean records and trackers using Google Sheets and Docs.
  • Learn the manufacturing process on the floor to better check jobs and spot issues.
  • Pitch in for basic admin coverage when needed, including phones and routing messages.

What you bring

  • Proven accuracy in high volume data entry, with a service mindset and strong follow through.
  • QuickBooks order entry experience, plus comfort with Google Workspace tools.
  • Solid math and problem-solving skills. A short math assessment is part of the hiring process, eight questions without a calculator and three with.
  • Backgrounds that tend to succeed here include clerical, manufacturing, shipping and receiving, or project coordination.
  • Work environment, schedule, and travel

  • On-site, weekday schedule with occasional short trips of one to three days for training or support at other sites.
  • Manufacturing setting with exposure to large equipment, higher noise, and some dust, appropriate PPE provided.
