CT Partnership Coordinator
Position Type : Full-time, hourly position eligible for overtime. This is a remote role that requires working from an efficient home office environment. Occasional travel throughout CT is required to attend meeting and events.
Job Summary :
The Partnership Coordinator is responsible for developing and facilitating a productive partnership with New Haven, CT. For context, New England Smart Energy (NESE) was chosen by the City to help spend $1.6M in federal funding to provide energy assessments, follow-up weatherization work, windows, induction stoves, HVAC, and pre-weatherization barrier removal for moderate and income-eligible households in New Haven.

Partnership Support
Act as a point of contact for existing partners – at this time the City of New Haven – with additional municipalities as needed.
Maintain strong partner relationships through timely and consistent communication, engagement, and responsiveness.
Coordinate cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., subcontractors, call center, home energy specialists) to ensure seamless campaign execution and communication.
Assist in the preparation of monthly reports for municipal review.
Support the compilation of customer documentation for funding approval by the city.
Monitor partner performance and satisfaction; proactively address concerns and devise solutions to issues as they arise.
Organize and support partner meetings, events, and engagement activities to build and maintain strong relationships.
Maintain accurate partnership data and generate reports using Salesforce and Excel.
Make sure New Haven budget is being fully utilized and spent in a timely manner. To that end, coordinate with all profit centers to continually move business forward.
Oversee Certified Payroll Compliance for New Haven.
Develop and distribute co-branded marketing materials (e.g., direct mailers, flyers, trifolds, door hangers, canvassing vests, bill stuffers) to support outreach efforts in partner communities.
Collaborate with municipal partners to secure high-visibility tabling opportunities in medium-to-high foot traffic locations.
New Partnership Development
Build targeted contact list and generate new leads through email, phone outreach, and in-person networking.
Assist in drafting proposals, grant applications, and contract revisions.
Support relationship-building efforts with internal and external stakeholders to drive lead generation and partnership opportunities.
Manage administrative tasks related to partnerships, including processing invoices and distributing Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).

Other Responsibilities
Perform additional tasks and support special projects as needed.
Education & Experience :
Requires a higher education diploma or equivalent.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook calendar, and Teams.
Ability to learn new platforms such as Salesforce and scheduling software like Sling.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills across various platforms, positive mindset, and ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external teams.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
Requires proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
This is an individual contributor position with no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment : (will be exposed to the following)
Hybrid position : This position is a flexible work model that combines remote and on-site work. When working remotely, the employee is required to have a workspace free of distraction during work hours to perform job duties.
Indoor & Outdoor Environment : This position requires working both indoors and outdoors at retail and other designated locations (farmer's markets, town events). Weather conditions will vary based on the season.
Physical Demands :
Requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time, performing tasks on a computer, the ability to move within the office to attend meetings, access equipment, or interact with colleagues.
Requires walking to designated location, standing for long periods of time, as well as bending, crawling, and carrying and assembling equipment up to 60 lbs. for each event, and engaging with a large number of individuals.
This job may require travel in a personal vehicle.
