Senior Structural Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Structural Engineer position is responsible for researching specifying developing designing engineering or testing components equipment and / or systems in a multi-discipline engineering and design team. Individuals are expected to apply advanced knowledge of engineering principles methods and techniques to project assignments.

This position is intended for execution from the NANA Worley offices in Anchorage Alaska USA.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Language Ability

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure to write routine reports and to speak effectively before groups of managers client or employees of organization.

Math Ability

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions percentages area circumference and to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.

Computer Skills

A working knowledge of Microsoft Word processing software; Excel spreadsheet software; Outlook e-mail software; and proficiency in current versions of AutoCAD design software. Experience with Advanced Steel is preferred.

Certificates and Licenses

No certifications required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities although the individual may be asked to lead a functional work group or direct the work functions of others including drafters designers.
