About the role

Are you a dedicated and motivated Physician Assistant seeking a long-term opportunity in orthopedic care? Join our well-established and highly respected orthopedic practice that has proudly served our community for more than 45 years. We are currently seeking a full-time PA to become a valued member of our collaborative and patient-centered team.

What you'll do

  • Assist in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of orthopedic conditions under physician supervision
  • Perform pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments
  • Conduct joint injections, suturing, casting, and other in-office procedures
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, rehabilitation protocols, and preventive care
  • Document all patient encounters accurately in the EHR system
  • Coordinate care with other team members to ensure high-quality outcomes
  • Provide follow-up and health maintenance care to patients as indicated by training and experience and as directed by supervising physician, including, but not limited to, suturing, injections, surgical assistance, ultrasounds, cast applications and removal.
  • Communicate effectively with patients concerning health-related questions
  • Arrange for ongoing patient review and manage patient concerns in consultation with supervising physician according to Employer protocols

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited physician assistant program
  • Texas State License
  • TMB PA License (Required)
  • BLS certification
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI)
