Contract Type : Full-Time Direct Hire (W2).

Salary : $120.000-150.0000 / year + equity, based on experience.

Location : Ann Arbor, MI (On-Site).

Job Description :

Our client, a startup laboratory, is seeking a Senior Chemist to drive their analytical capabilities forward. This role offers the chance to lead method development and operations in a cutting-edge lab environment focused on non-cannabis industries, with a preference for food-related experience. You'll work with advanced instrumentation such as LC / MS and GC / MS and collaborate closely with the Lab Director to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

Responsibilities & duties :

• Develop and execute analytical methods for pesticides, phthalates, glyphosate, PFAS, botanicals, and related tests.
• Lead and manage LC / MS and GC / MS operations, with support for ICP-MS and wet chemistry techniques.
• Mentor and manage lab technicians.
• Design workflows to maximize throughput and implement automation solutions.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments, ensuring optimal performance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (ISO, FDA, USDA).
• Collaborate across departments to streamline operations.
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and high-performing laboratory environment.
