Behavioral Health Specialist

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct administration, scoring, and interpretation of a variety of personality assessments, providing comprehensive psychological reports for diverse purposes.
• Assist in the interdisciplinary classification of inmates, identifying behavioral, emotional, and personality issues, and collaborate to develop tailored intervention programs.
• Prepare reports addressing inmates exhibiting unusual behaviors or acute psychological concerns, including but not limited to insomnia, suicidal ideations, and anxiety.
• Deliver individual counseling and crisis intervention as needed, ensuring timely support during emergencies.
• Provide assessment and referral services for staff seeking assistance with alcohol, drug use, or emotional challenges impacting performance.
• Maintain the security and safety of the institution, prioritizing correctional responsibilities alongside psychological duties.
