Salary Range : $130,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually

By adhering to Connecticut State Law, pay ranges are posted. The pay rate will vary based on various factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge of position and comparison to others who are already in this role within the company.

PACT MSO, LLC is a Management Service Organization that supports a large multi-specialty practice of providers. We are looking for an experienced Corporate Controller who will be working in Branford Monday through Friday.

This position’s primary day-to-day responsibility includes financial strategy, planning, management and analysis; budgeting and forecasting; accounting; general ledger; financial relations and policy development.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure that the finance team is prepares and communicates monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements accurately and timely. Conduct all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocation.
  • Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long term operational goals, budgets and forecasts. Provide insight and recommendations to both short term and long-term growth plan of organization.
  • Create and establish pro-forma plans for new business.
  • Develop and maintain monthly operating budget and annual company operating budgets.
  • Oversee, prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports; monthly profit and loss by division / community, forecast vs. budget by division / community and weekly cash flow by division / community.
  • Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations.
  • Manage financial planning and analysis department. Supervise creation of reports, software implementation and tools for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ensure the finance department has the proper functioning of all systems, databases and financial software. Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, SOX compliance and financial procedures.
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data for PACT Members, PACT MSO owners and company’s Board of Directors.
  • Coordinate with the company’s accounting firm to ensure preparation and timely filing of all local, state, and federal tax returns.
  • Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability.
  • Manager finance team of two managing work allocation, systems training, performance evaluations, and the building of an effective and efficient team dynamic.

Skills and Knowledge

  • A strategic individual with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus.
  • An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills and a passion for collaboration and partnerships.
  • A decisive individual who possesses a "big picture" perspective and is well versed in systems.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex financial documents.
  • Remain current on audit best practices; and state, federal and local law regarding company operations.
  • Education and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field required.
  • CPA strongly preferred.
  • 10 years overall Finance leadership experience preferred. An experienced leader and financial executive with appropriate industry experience in Finance, Accounting, and Health Care Contracting.
  • Experience with working in medical multispecialty organization a plus.
  • Successful implementation of process that maximizes reimbursement opportunities into the practice.
