American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in a large Level I Trauma Center requiring TNCC, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Emergency Department of a short-term acute care hospitalLevel I Trauma Center with high patient acuityAverage nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 6Travelers do not work in trauma, rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health unitsAssignment consists of 4x12 hour shifts, day or evening, with 11 : 00-23 : 00 or 15 : 00-03 : 00 availableEvery other weekend is requiredFloating within scope to other campuses may be requiredCharting is done using Epic EMRRoyal blue scrubs are requiredUp to 7 days of requested time off can be auto-approvedReturn staff must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligibleNo local candidates within a 75-mile radius are eligibleTravelers will be assigned to one campus but may rotate to others as neededFirst-time travelers are not accepted for this positionTravelers are expected to assist during natural disasters or other emergency response eventsParking is available at a cost of $125 per month\n \n Requirements\n
Active CT or Compact RN license or eligibility for licenseMinimum 1.5 years ER experience in a similar hospital setting required, 2 years preferredCurrent certifications : BLS, ACLS, and TNCCTrauma Center experience in a large facility requiredNo prior adverse actions on nursing licenseAnnual flu vaccine required, declinations not acceptedCOVID-19 vaccine and booster required unless religious or medical exemption submitted\n Benefits\n
