About the Role

The Company is seeking an experienced Head of Compliance to oversee and ensure adherence to all US compliance requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for the US Compliance Universe, including the reflection of applicable federal and state laws and regulations within the Group Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) tool. This role involves actively promoting and instilling awareness of regulatory requirements, supporting the business-wide Horizon Scanning process, and leading the response to new and changing regulations. The Head of Compliance will also manage US regulatory filings, support the annual Compliance Risk Assessment process, and provide guidance on corporate policies and training programs.

Applicants for the Head of Compliance position at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' legal and compliance experience in the insurance and / or reinsurance industry, with a strong preference for a combination of in-house and law firm experience. A law degree (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and current good standing with the bar in at least one U.S. state are preferred. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, and a proven track record in problem-solving and project management. The Head of Compliance will be expected to provide regular updates to the US Executive and Boards on all compliance matters and to work closely with the Group Change Management team to ensure the implementation of compliance initiatives at the US level.
