Spare Parts Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for performing accurate and timely inventory transactions of materials consumed in the manufacturing process. Employee will become trained on the CMMS E-maintenance program and become proficient at it. Employee will work as scheduled by manager 5 consecutive 8-hour shift per day Monday through Friday, or 4 consecutive 10-hour shift Monday through Thursday, or as directed by his or her manager.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to :

o Utilize a CMMS program to control spare parts inventory to ensure spare parts availability for work order completion.

o Liaise with Purchasing & Payables for scheduling and confirmation of spare parts delivery.

o Perform electronic transactions for issuing / reserving materials to jobs.

o Process and close manufacturing jobs and record production quantities produced.

o Move inventory (physically / electronically).

o Perform mathematical calculations including density conversions and ratios.

o Conduct stock checks, cycle counts, and participate in periodic physical inventory counts as directed.

o Identify inventory discrepancies, investigate potential causes, and recommend corrective action.

o Check and maintain accurate inventory labeling.

o With minimal supervision, perform all duties of this position.

o Maintaining replacement parts inventory for all critical parts within the assembly line.

o Maintaining / update maintenance manual and system documentation.

o Generate and maintain system service and downtime logs.

o Generate and maintain system preventative maintenance schedules and logs.

o Assist in ordering new spare parts with the main office spare parts coordinator.

o Assist in maintaining accurate records of all predictive, preventative, and general maintenance functions. In addition, maintain accurate records of all repairs and spare parts usage.

KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES :

o Good communication skills with fluency in English (verbal and written).

o Good math skills including density conversions, ratios, percentages, and basic math.

o Experience with manufacturing / distribution software or general business software is a plus.

o Ability to solve problems quickly and completely and / or elevate to higher level for resolution.

o Self-starter and ability to follow oral and written directions.

o Some knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, or distribution environments is helpful.

o Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

o Achieve thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved.

o Excellent organizational and time management skills.

o Clear and effective communication skills in both written and spoken forms.

o Knowledge of computer applications including email, databases, word-processing programs and spreadsheets (such as Microsoft Office).

o Work effectively with different levels of management, team members and customers.

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS : High School Diploma, GED, or sufficient experience pertaining to this job. Experience working with computer-based inventory management software preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. The employee must lift and / or move up to 30 lbs.

Valid Driver’s License

Employment offer is contingent on employee passing a pre-employment drug screen / background check. Successful completion of online safety training prior to start date. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
