Job Description
Our client is seeking a full-time SPED Teacher Essential Academics (High School) to support students with disabilities in a structured, self-contained classroom setting. This role focuses on providing individualized special education instruction, adapting curriculum, and collaborating with colleagues, families, and service providers to meet students' academic and behavioral needs.
Deliver individualized SPED instruction to high school students in a self-contained classroomDevelop and implement IEPs and behavior intervention plansAdapt curriculum to meet a wide range of learning needs and abilitiesUse student data to monitor progress and design differentiated lessonsCollaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providersEstablish and maintain effective classroom management strategiesMaintain communication with parents / guardians regarding student progress and goalsParticipate in ARD meetings and implement team decisionsIncorporate technology and assistive tools to support SPED learningStay up to date on best practices in special education and classroom strategiesMaintain accurate records and ensure compliance with SPED documentation requirementsQualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited universityValid Texas teaching certificateTexas Special Education (SPED) certificationESL certification preferredExperience developing and implementing IEPsStrong understanding of SPED compliance, instructional methods, and behavior strategiesAbility to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary teamWhy This Is a Great Opportunity
