Position Overview

HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care facility in Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders and able to work independently with minimal orientation.

Responsibilities

Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapy

Initiate and monitor oxygen therapy

Perform radial arterial punctures and pulmonary function tests

Assist physicians with ventilator setup and ongoing management

Respond to cardiopulmonary emergencies and perform CPR

Deliver high-quality respiratory care in an acute clinical setting

Accurately document patient care and treatment outcomes

Qualifications

A.A.S. in Respiratory Therapy required

Current New York State Respiratory Therapist license / registration

Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience post-A.A.S.

BLS certification (AHA) required; ACLS preferred

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
