The Purchasing Automation Specialist will initially focus on traditional purchasing responsibilities while actively supporting the development and implementation of AI-driven automation tools. Over time, this role will transition into optimizing and streamlining procurement through AI and process automation. The ideal candidate actively seeks process improvements, has a growth mindset, and is hands-on.
Job Responsibilities :
Quoting & Automation :
- Generate and track quotes for clients, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Leverage AI to analyze vendor quotes for best pricing.
- Ensure all quotes are dated, error-free, and concise.
Purchasing & Vendor Management :
Manage purchase orders, ensuring timely arrivals and tracking through open P.O. reports.Communicate with technicians to confirm part requirements and approvals.Assist warehouse team in confirming and optimizing scheduled jobs.Build vendor relationships and evaluate new suppliers.Monitor competitors to proactively satisfy and retain clients.Maintain awareness of market conditions and procurement trends.Future Responsibilities – AI & Process Optimization :
Support the development of AI solutions to enhance accuracy and efficiency.Use predictive analytics to anticipate purchasing needs.Automate workflows for scheduling, work orders, and status updates.Continuously refine procurement processes through automation.Customer Service & Communication :
Provide timely updates to coordinators and managers.Assist in resolving client complaints with AI-driven insights.Conduct daily check-ins with dispatchers and client relationship managers.Engage with vendors to address recurring issues and improve collaboration.Requirements :
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree required.Purchasing experience with automation tools, AI, or ERP systems.Strong vendor management and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and automation.Experience with data-driven decision-making and process optimization.Problem-solving, time management, and customer service skills.Proactive mindset for automation and process improvements.Hands-on approach with both strategy and operations.Ability to multitask and prioritize urgent requests.Dedication to high-quality customer service and relationship building.Eligibility Requirements :
