Finance Director, CoreAI
The Commercial Products and Infrastructure (CPI) org is responsible for driving Microsoft cloud & AI capacity, margin excellence, and resource allocation rigor across Microsoft's portfolio. Within CPI, the Resource Investment Strategy (RIS) finance team is an exciting and fast-evolving team that partners deeply with engineering leaders to ensure $20B+ resources across ~100K engineering FTEs are continuously aligned to strategic engineering priorities. We are looking for a Finance Director, CoreAI to join the Cloud and AI team within RIS to assist us in this critical work. In this role, you will partner across multiple stakeholders including engineering, operations and finance to ensure resource investments align to long term strategy. You will be at the heart of the AI transition and Cloud infrastructure, providing key decision support as our engineering leaders navigate our Cloud and AI ambitions. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving ability at multiple altitudes (high-level strategy to tactical execution) and can navigate complexity and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications : 1+ year(s) experience managing direct reports. Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 10+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
Preferred / Additional Qualifications : 5+ years work experience in the technology or software industry. 10+ years work experience in matrix-based organization supporting operational excellence. 10+ years experience in multinationals with multi-product / multi-segment finance experience in financial modeling, analysis, and storytelling. Ability to influence and impact without authority, operate in ambiguity, and solve difficult problems, combined with the ability to prioritize and function well in a dynamic and matrixed environment Experience collaborating and influencing executive level partnerships across teams. Ability to drive simplicity within a complex and matrix environment Demonstrated ability and attention to detail orientation.
Financial Analysis M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
