Job Title : Divisional Controller Location : Fort Wayne, IN Job Type : Full-Time | Direct Hire Compensation : $120,000 Annually About the Opportunity : We are seeking a seasoned and driven Divisional Controller to lead financial operations for one of our fastest-growing divisions. The successful candidate will work closely with project leaders and executive stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making. This role is ideal for a dynamic professional with expertise in construction industry finance and a passion for mentorship and innovation. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting : Lead the monthly Work-In-Process (WIP) reporting process, create divisional entries, and review job projections for accuracy and actionable insights. Cash Flow Management : Oversee cash flow, including accounts receivable collections and weekly check runs, ensuring operational liquidity. Internal Controls : Develop and enforce robust internal controls and financial policies to safeguard assets and maintain compliance. Team Leadership : Mentor and guide the project accounting team, promoting accountability, growth, and a culture of excellence. Collaboration : Partner with project managers and divisional leadership to ensure accurate project costing and financial transparency. Risk Management : Proactively identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, particularly at the project level. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting / finance, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. Construction industry experience is strongly preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting standards and internal controls. Advanced proficiency in Excel modeling and reporting, along with proficiency in Word and PowerPoint. Experience with Procore and CMiC accounting systems. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
