POSITION OVERVIEW

As a member of the FP&A Transformation project team with the Insurance System Transformation the FP&A Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting projects that enhance and automate financial planning and analysis processes. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong analytical aptitude the ability to evaluate and optimize processes related to FP&A projections and experience working with complex financial data. Prior exposure to Life & Annuity insurance or related financial services firms is highly preferred.

The role requires an individual who can bridge technology and finance effectively communicating with both functional FP&A users and technical developers. The FP&A Business Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that financial systems and processes deliver accurate timely and actionable insights for management decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Business Process Analysis : Analyze FP&A projection processes including forecasting variance analysis and scenario modeling to identify opportunities for automation efficiency and reconciliation improvements.
• Requirements Gathering : Collaborate with FP&A teams and developers to define and document system requirements ensuring alignment with financial reporting and planning objectives.
• Testing & Validation : Develop and execute test plans test cases and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate system functionality against business needs particularly around financial data accuracy.
• Data Integrity & Controls : Partner with finance teams to ensure the integrity consistency and quality of financial data across planning and reporting systems.
• Continuous Improvement : Apply critical thinking to evaluate current FP&A workflows challenge assumptions and propose alternative solutions to improve forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Stakeholder Engagement : Act as a liaison between finance (FP&A) and technology teams facilitating effective communication managing priorities and ensuring successful delivery of project objectives.
• Reporting & Insights : Support the design and delivery of financial dashboards KPIs and reports to enhance decision-making across leadership teams.

EDUCATION

Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Information Technology or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Advanced degree (MBA MS in Finance or related field) preferred but not required.
