Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our established and friendly team.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of clinical experience in small animal medicine and surgery; however, we are open to considering a motivated and confident candidate with less experience if it's the right fit.
This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who values teamwork, work-life balance, and the ability to practice high-quality medicine in a collaborative, family-oriented environment.
No after-hours or on-call responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough physical examinations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and medical procedures.
- Conduct soft tissue surgeries and dental procedures to a high clinical standard.
- Collaborate with a knowledgeable, well-trained support team to ensure efficient patient care.
- Provide client education on preventive care, treatment options, and ongoing wellness.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Participate in ongoing improvements to clinic workflow and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent from an accredited institution.Active Ohio Veterinary License (or ability to obtain one).DEA registration (or eligibility to apply).5+ years of experience preferred; flexibility for candidates with proven clinical ability.Proficiency in general medicine, surgery, and dentistry for small animals.Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.Demonstrated commitment to high standards of patient care and client service.Why Join Georgesville Road Animal Hospital
