We are seeking a seasoned Program Manager / Systems Integration Architect to lead the development and integration of its first commercial demonstration plant. This role is ideal for a turbomachinery engineer with 10+ years of experience in power generation or aerospace, including at least one clean-sheet product development program from concept to launch. You will own system-level requirements, architecture integration, cost / schedule oversight, and cross-functional team leadership across combustion, turbomachinery, controls, and test.

Arbor's team of world-class engineers and scientists are developing a scalable, low-cost approach to Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS) based on modern rocket engine technology. BECCS is a carbon dioxide removal (CDR) approach that uses biomass to produce energy and remove CO? from the atmosphere and store it permanently underground, while ensuring food security, rural livelihoods, and biodiversity are not affected. Our modular technology leverages the power density of supercritical CO2 to enable compact gasification, oxy-combustion, and high-pressure turbo-expansion to convert abundant waste biomass into clean electricity, water, and high-purity CO2, capturing and sequestering all emissions from the process. Our team brings together a passion for science, technology, and global stewardship to make low-cost, high-quality carbon removal and baseload power a reality.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain system-level product requirements based on customer needs, commercial goals, and external constraints (e.g., ASU interface, grid codes).
• Lead the system architecture, including top-down performance targets, design trade-offs, and technical integration across turbomachinery, combustion, and controls.
• Act as primary engineering liaison for cost, schedule, and risk management during all design phases (conceptual, preliminary, detailed, test).
• Drive cross-functional alignment and planning through internal design reviews tollgates.
• Create and manage critical system-level documentation including product definition documents, interface control documents, and operability definition.
• Direct and support the systems, controls, and test teams through planning, execution, and commissioning.
• Ensure design traceability, risk closure, and operability readiness for validation testing and customer demonstration.
• Represent the engineering team in internal and external program reviews, technical discussions, and product roadmap planning.

175,000 - $200,000 a year

The salary is subject to the applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience.
