The Opportunity
Join our growing QA team as we transform our quality engineering practice into a cutting-edge discipline. As an Associate QA Engineer, you'll be part of a globally distributed team of 20-25 QA engineers working to deliver world-class digital experiences for wealth management technology.
We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to one of our following offices : Concord, CA or Charlotte, NC.
Key Responsibilities
Core Testing & Quality Assurance :
- Execute manual test cases accurately and document defects with clear reproduction steps
- Perform manual regression testing across multiple features and environments
- Identify basic functional defects and communicate findings effectively
- Document test results clearly and provide accurate test status updates
- Use test management tools effectively to track testing progress
Learning & Development :
Learn automation frameworks and tools under guidance from senior team membersUnderstand basic testing principles and methodologiesParticipate in test case reviews and contribute to testing discussionsDevelop understanding of system architecture and testing approachesSeek and respond well to feedback from team members and mentorsCollaboration & Communication :
Participate actively in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives)Communicate clearly with team members and ask appropriate testing questionsCollaborate with developers on defect resolution and testing approachesDocument test issues for team visibility and follow established QA processesAttend sprint planning and design sessions to understand feature requirementsProcess & Continuous Improvement :
Follow established QA processes and testing standards consistentlyComplete assigned test tasks on schedule and manage personal workload Identify opportunities for test improvements and share insights with the teamLearn testability concepts and identify basic testing scenarios early in developmentDemonstrate curiosity about testing methodologies and quality practicesWhat We're Looking For
Education & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field0-2 years of experience in software testing or quality assuranceFresh graduates with strong technical foundation are welcomeTechnical Skills :
Basic understanding of software development lifecycleFamiliarity with web applications and basic testing conceptsWillingness to learn test automation tools and frameworksBasic knowledge of databases and SQL (preferred)Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript basics)Soft Skills :

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
