What This Job Involves :

As Chief Engineer, you will lead and supervise the maintenance staff in a 24 / 7 operational environment, ensuring all building systems run efficiently with minimal disruption. You'll be responsible for maintaining critical infrastructure, implementing preventative maintenance programs, and providing technical leadership to the engineering team. This role requires availability for after-hours calls and work tasks, with a focus on maintaining 100% uptime for critical systems.

Your Day-to-Day Tasks Will Include :

• Supervising maintenance staff and monitoring performance of their assigned responsibilities
• Implementing and managing preventative maintenance programs with minimal service disruption
• Maintaining and monitoring all building systems including fire / life safety, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and emergency backup systems
• Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and implementing corrective actions
• Overseeing contracted maintenance work and ensuring timely completion
• Creating and implementing critical procedure documentation (EOP / SOP / MOP)
• Managing inventory of tools, supplies, and parts while processing purchase requests
• Training staff on proper equipment use, maintenance procedures, and safety protocols
• Ensuring compliance with hazardous materials policies and maintaining a clean, safe workplace

Estimated Total Compensation For This Position :

97,500.00 122,000.00 USD per year
