Georgia Spine & Orthopaedics, a leading orthopedic practice dedicated to providing comprehensive musculoskeletal care, is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support strategic and operational decision-making.
The Financial Analyst is an in-office position located at our HQ office in Roswell, GA.
The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare operations, with a particular focus on outpatient clinical and surgical settings.
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Analyze trends in revenue, expenses, patient volume, payer mix, and procedure profitability.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for clinical and surgical operations.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in developing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Track budget-to-actual variances and provide actionable insights.
- Revenue Cycle Auditing
- Work with billing and collections teams to analyze accounts receivable
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue cycle efficiency and revenue adjustment actionable items.
- Other key / communicated duties as necessary
Cost Analysis :
Evaluate the cost-effectiveness of procedures, equipment purchases, and staffing models.Support cost control initiatives across clinical and administrative departments.Perform financial modeling to support service expansion, new physician hires, and capital investments.Strategic Financial Planning :
Compliance & AuditingEnsure adherence to internal controls and healthcare financial regulations.Support external auditsRequirements : Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s or CPA a plus)1-2 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a healthcare or medical practice settingStrong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with EMRs (e.g., Epic, NextGen, Athena) and practice management software is a plusExcellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsPreferred Skills :
Experience in orthopedic or surgical specialty practices is a plusFamiliarity with ASC (Ambulatory Surgery Center) financial operations is a plusUnderstanding of Personal Injury is a huge plusCompensation & Benefits :
