CVOR RN Job Details – South Bend, IN

Location : South Bend, IN 46601 – A vibrant Midwest city known for its rich history, scenic riverfront, and proximity to the University of Notre Dame. Enjoy diverse dining, outdoor recreation, and a welcoming healthcare community.

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2550 - $2610

Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract

Start Date : December 8, 2025

Shift : 4x10-hour day shifts (06 : 00 – 16 : 30)

Hours per Week : 40

On-Call : 2-3 overnight call shifts per week, every 3rd weekend, holiday rotation

Unit : Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR); may float to main OR as needed

CVOR Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Indiana or compact state; pending accepted, must be active by start date)

Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR RN experience required

Certifications : ACLS and BLS required

Proficiency with Cerner charting system required

Open heart and scrub experience strongly preferred

Ability to float to main OR if no cardiovascular cases are scheduled

Must rate 3 or higher on the majority of cardiovascular cases listed

Must reside at least 50 miles from South Bend (no local candidates for this Indiana nursing job)

COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

CVOR RN Responsibilities

Circulate and / or scrub for cardiovascular surgical cases, including open heart procedures

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Float to main operating room as needed based on case volume

Participate in call rotation, including overnight and weekend shifts

Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR

Adhere to all hospital policies and professional conduct standards

Complete required onboarding modules prior to start date
