Gastroenterologist Locums Job in Northern Virginia March 2025 - December 2025

Jackson and Coker is partnered with a northern Virginia facility that is seeking 1-2 GIs to assist with 24-hour call coverage / GI inpatient hospitalist (working 8A - 5P, M-F in the hospital) coverage for 5 weeks in 2025. The facility has worked hard to identify the specific dates that their team will need coverage for & that we've listed below.

Specific dates of coverage requested :

Will work from 8A - 5P in the inpatient setting Monday-Friday & remain on call each evening / through the weekend

Monday, March 31 at 7AM - Monday, April 7 at 7AM

Monday, June 2 at 7AM - Monday, June 9 at 7AM

Monday, June 30 at 7AM - Monday, July 7 at 7AM (covering on Independence Day, 1.5x holiday pay)

Monday, August 18 at 7AM - Monday, August 25 at 7AM

Monday, December 15 at 7AM - Monday, December 22 at 7AM

Details for Assignment :

Active and unrestricted Virginia license and DEA required

Active Board Certification required

Inpatient 24-hour call coverage with a minimum of 8 hours of work in the hospital per day

Possibility for clinic / outpatient scope coverage from time to time

ERCP / EUS is not required, however, there's a possibility they can use these services if you do them

Caseload : average 10-15 patients / day, 0-2 procedures / day

Case volume for scheduled scopes : between 10-12 / day

Two Endo suites, lab onsite, x-ray onsite

150+ bed facility, Epic EMR
