This position delivers focused financial leadership and guidance for Consumer & Small Business Deposits, overseeing a team responsible for supporting product management, pricing strategies, and go-to-market initiatives. It ensures accurate financial reporting and forecasting, supports tactical execution, evaluates investment returns, and aligns financials with operational goals. The role requires deep financial expertise and broad influence across the deposit line of business due to the complexity and scale of the function.
Essential duties and responsibilities include providing targeted financial leadership for a specialized sub-segment, leading financial reporting and tactical execution aligned with operational goals, influencing financial decisions across functions due to portfolio complexity, supporting strategic initiatives, investment cases, and performance evaluations, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements, managing a team, providing coaching, development, and performance oversight, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent education and related training, ten years of relevant accounting or finance experience that includes complex financial analysis, sound and comprehensive understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes, strong verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, sound and logical decision-making abilities, demonstrated leadership skills, and familiarity with GAAP.
Preferred qualifications include supervisory experience, certified public accountant, certified management accountant, or chartered financial analyst, master's degree or MBA, specific financial services or specialized industry experience, proficiency in Essbase / Hyperion, EPM / BPC, or other enterprise accounting software, and experience with macros / VBA.
