Description

Performs professional Occupational Therapy activities consisting of planning, evaluating, establishing and implementing individual and group treatment activities in a collaborative child- and family-centered service delivery model.

Responsibilities

• Interpret a physician's referral and select appropriate standardized evaluation procedures.
• Evaluate patients in the relevant occupational therapy domains, including component skills that may be restricting independence and / or participation.
• Interpret child and family concerns as well as data collected through standardized assessment and skilled observation, and develop a treatment plan involving short and long term goals, frequency and duration of treatment.
• Inform patient and family goals and progress.
• Maintain a full-time caseload that may include children and families receiving services through insurance, school-based services, consultation, or private pay models of service delivery.
• May supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant(s).
• May supervise students.
