Job Description

This position is responsible and accountable for maintaining and developing the corporate network LAN / WAN environments. The Network Analyst will participate in the design phase and provide input into the future direction of network technologies and management, analyze problems and drive solutions during testing and post-implementation and provide strong troubleshooting and implementation skills. This individual ensures that the corporate network is maintained in optimal working order. This is a "hands on" position that requires strong PC, server and networking technical skills, the patience to work with users of all skill levels, and the ability to work on numerous assignments concurrently.

Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, install and maintain virtualization environment.
  • Design, configure, install and maintain the corporate email system.
  • Design, configure, install and maintain LAN / WAN Network Infrastructure.
  • Design, configure, install and maintain wireless data networking systems supporting day to day operations at office.
  • Design, configure and maintain enterprise data centers – Power and cooling.
  • Strategic planning of future network upgrades. Research, develops and integrates new network technologies into the IT infrastructure.
  • Analyzes network performance trends, recognizes opportunities and proactively implements upgrades and enhancements.
  • Coordinates with and manages vendors, including development and oversight of RFP's, contracts and Service Level Agreements.
  • Provide Tier III support per request, investigate and troubleshoot issues.
  • Model and forecast WAN / LAN traffic to ensure sufficient capacity is in place to meet growth.
  • Ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains acceptance and approval.
  • Provide leadership for all aspects of projects associated with Mobility such as Mobile Device Management (MDM), support and provisioning of Mobile Devices along with a contributory role of technology roadmaps associated with Mobility and Mobile Devices.
  • Provide on-call support after hours as needed.

Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of WAN infrastructure.
  • Hands on experience with LAN / WAN operations and networking protocols.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows server and desktop operating systems
  • Ability to analyze user's needs and provide hardware and software solutions which will allow them to function in an efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 or more years of work experience in a related field.
  • Professional Certifications offered by Microsoft or Cisco are strongly preferred.
