Position Summary

The Manager, Digital Content Strategy will lead the planning, optimization, and execution of engaging digital content strategies. This role focuses on driving customer engagement, enhancing AutoZone’s digital presence, and supporting business goals through innovative content initiatives. The ideal candidate must be a creative and skilled digital storyteller, strategic thinker, and collaborative manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Content Leadership

Develop and oversee content strategy for AutoZone’s digital platforms (AutoZone.com and Mobile App), ensuring alignment with brand, business objectives, merchandising, and customer needs to drive conversion.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Marketing, Product, and UX / UI to support organizational goals.
  • Implement data-driven content plans to enhance customer experience and performance metrics.
  • Content Development & Management
  • Oversee creation and execution of compelling digital content to drive traffic and conversions.

  • Establish standards and guidelines for consistency and quality across digital touchpoints.
  • Manage timelines and schedules for content initiatives, including monthly and ad hoc releases.
  • Performance Optimization
  • Use analytics tools to measure content performance, identify trends, and optimize strategies.

  • Conduct A / B testing and usability studies to refine content and improve engagement.
  • Partner with SEO and SEM teams to optimize content discoverability and search performance.
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Manage and mentor a team of content specialists, fostering creativity and innovation focused on driving sales.

  • Present strategic initiatives and results to leadership.
  • Innovation & Industry Awareness
  • Stay updated on digital trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

  • Advocate for innovative solutions to elevate customer experience and differentiate the brand.
  • Additional Responsibilities
  • Leverage cross-functional expertise to influence digital / eCommerce strategies.

  • Implement process improvements and ensure collaboration across channels.
  • Experience with JIRA, ContentStack (CMS), and Figma or similar tools preferred.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities

    This role has two or more direct reports, oversees external vendors, and influences organizational strategy and senior leadership.

    Education and Experience

    REQUIRED :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 years in marketing and project management, preferably in retail.
  • Experience with digital touchpoints, analytics, and tracking KPIs.
  • Support for growth initiatives across products, segments, and categories.
  • Leadership in executing marketing initiatives.
