The AVP, Private Markets Operations- Solutions & Governance (AVP) will play a key role in driving strategic initiatives, ensuring strong governance practices, managing vendor relationships, and supporting the firm’s regulatory reporting and compliance obligations. This position will support Private Markets Operations (PMO) globally and will partner cross‑functionally with Operations, Compliance, Technology, Legal, Risk and the Front office to ensure initiatives are executed efficiently and in alignment with firm standards, investor expectations, and regulatory requirements. The AVP will create and deliver exceptional customer service and operations in line with the organization’s mission, critical values and behaviors.
Initiatives Oversight
- Lead and coordinate strategic and operational initiatives from planning through execution.
- Establish project governance frameworks, milestones, and success metrics.
- Track initiative progress, identify risks, and elevate issues to senior management as appropriate.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop policies, procedures, and controls that enhance operational efficiency and compliance integrity.
- Oversight of team supporting initiatives.
- Application owner for applications / software used and owned by Private Markets Operations.
- Responsible for oversight of system upgrades as it relates to Private Markets Operations.
- Support the Compliance and Operations teams in fulfilling periodic regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., Form ADV, Form PF, AIFMD).
- Maintain oversight of compliance‑related initiatives and ensure timely delivery of required filings and attestations.
- Monitor evolving regulatory requirements applicable to private markets and assist in implementing corresponding process enhancements.
Vendor Management
Oversee the vendor governance framework, including due diligence, risk assessments, and periodic performance reviews.Manage vendor relationships to ensure adherence to contractual, operational, and regulatory expectations.Partner with stakeholders to strengthen third‑party oversight.Governance and Reporting
Prepare or oversee team preparing materials and reports for senior management, board meetings, committees, and regulators as required.Maintain documentation and evidence supporting regulatory and initiative‑related deliverables.Drive continuous improvement in governance processes, reporting accuracy, and operational transparency.Required Qualifications
B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Economics; advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., MBA, CPA, CFA, CAMS) preferred.8+ years of Project Management Experience.8+ years of Regulatory / Compliance oversight.Proven experience in executive‑level communications on initiatives.Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to private markets (e.g., SEC, FCA, AIFMD, ESG, AML).10+ years of experience in private markets funds or hedge funds with exposure to compliance, operations / accounting and regulatory functions.Proven leadership and management and ability to lead initiatives and teams globally across a complex organization.Ability to work effectively within a matrixed, geographically dispersed team and leverage knowledge across the organization.Ability to effectively communicate to varying audiences ranging from executives to peers to front line employees.Proven leadership and management skills in achieving departmental, project and individual objectives, and in developing staff.Ability to challenge the status quo, assess business risk and make appropriate decisions.Ability to thrive, adapt and lead in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment.Results oriented – ability to balance multiple priorities and projects.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in diverse environments and cultures, across a number of office locations.Excellent people‑manager capability and experience facilitating and promoting high team engagement.Excellent knowledge of information systems audit methodologies, control frameworks, risk management practices and regulatory requirements.Excellent customer focus and commitment to quality.Superior leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to motivate, coach and mentor.Highly developed influencing and negotiating skills.Outstanding ability to break down complex cases, recommend and implement a solution.Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills needed to effectively build relationships and communicate with executives, internal stakeholders, and customers.When you join our team

Salary range is expected to be between
$152,900.00 USD - $283,800.00 USD
