Mechanical Commissioning Engineer

An industry leading multi-disciplinary team is looking for a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer for their Detroit team!

Responsibilities :

• Project / client management
• Prepare project documentation including proposals and administering project contracts
• Supervise staff or perform the following :
• Develop / execute a project specific commissioning plan (design review system installation verification and functional testing)
• Develop spreadsheet analyses / written reports
• Perform field assessments and on-site commissioning activities
• Perform functional testing of building systems (MEP / control systems)
• Complete USGBC LEED commissioning tasks / credit completion
• Use energy simulation software to perform building energy / resource use analysis
• Ensure QA / QC standards are met by reviewing work prepared by others
• Perform working planning / management of the commissioning process to the available hours in the work plan
• Attend meetings with clients authorities having jurisdiction and other professionals
• Assist with business development

Requirements :

Strong knowledge of MEP / FP building systems design / construction processes building automation systems and test and balance process / procedures

Salary is commensurate with experience.
